Breathing seems so simple, but has become one of the most difficult tasks today because we are often so involved in our mind or other things that we have forgotten how to breathe. Explore 5 powerful breathing exercises to re-connect you back into you.

1. Universal Breath

Use this breath to maximize the universal power force. Close your eyes and open your palms. Breathe in deeply through both nostrils for 5-7 seconds, and then slowly observe the release of the air out through your nose for 8-12 seconds. Perform for 1-3 minutes.


2. Delta Breath

This is the perfect breath when you are mentally stressed, have sleeping disturbances, migraines, headaches, or mixed emotions. Place your hands over your forehead and close your eyes. Take a couple natural breaths to calm your mind down then inhale deeply from your nose and exhale into the back of your throat. The deeper you breathe, the more you will dis- connect. Build up your practice by starting at 1 minute to 10 minutes over time.st set slow with control, 2nd set faster, and the 3rd set the fastest. 3 sets.


3. Nadi Shodana

This is the perfect breath to channel your energy to clear and calm your mind. Cover your right nostril with your thumb and inhale slowly and deeply through your left nostril. Exhale through your left nostril. Beginners start with 5-10 rounds of breath, intermediate/ advanced 20-30 rounds of breath.


4. Breath Stretch

Stretch your lungs and allow your breath to detox your lungs. Reach your hands upwards while inhaling for 5-7 seconds. Exhale the last atom of air out of your lungs. Repeat the same breathing cycle breathing in deeper each time.
 

5. Good Night Breath
Before bedtime, close your eyes and let go all the mental and physical tension of your body. Inhale deeply, hold your breath for 3-7 seconds, open your mouth and making hsssssing sound as your slowly exhale deeply. Perform 10-20 times. Remember, your breath is the union between your body and mind. By breathing and practicing these exercises you can open up to a new healthier life and body.
